OUR PROGRAMS
16-Week Blended Firefighter Training Program
PROGRAM DETAILS
OUR ADVANCED In-Person & Online BLENDED LEARNING STRATEGY SAVES RECRUITS TIME WHEN IT COMES TO UNDERSTANDING CONCEPTS AND COMPLETING REQUIRED COURSE WORK.
OFA has developed an online platform that incorporates a variety of learning tools and aids recruits in successfully completing the theoretical portion of the Firefighter training program.
Recruits will use the IFSTA Essentials of Firefighting, which is provided as an e-book for this program. This book will be utilized throughout the program including the practical phase of training.
The online program is broken down into modules and to ensure recruits understand the learning objectives of each module, recruits are validated by the end of module evaluations. Once all individual elements of the module have been successfully completed the learner can proceed to the next program module.
See firefighter essential training courses: NFPA 1001 level I & II, NFPA 1072 Hazmat Awareness & Hazmat Operations

OFA enhances the learning environment by maintaining an optimal recruit-to-instructor ratio during all practical evolutions.
