Master Crucial Skills in Our Indoor, Life-Sized Residential Structure

Step inside our indoor training area, where you’ll discover a life-sized, two-story residential structure designed to simulate a variety of rescue situations. Rain or shine, our climate-controlled environment ensures you’ll have ample opportunity to master essential skills, like search and rescue drills, in a safe and controlled setting.

The structure features both flat and pitched roofs, as well as a variety of ladders, simulating a diverse range of real-life scenarios. This versatility within the training area ensures that you acquire a thorough understanding of the complexities of firefighting, prepping you to handle any situation in the field.

Hone Your Physical Endurance in Our Expansive Open Field Training Area

Adjacent to the academy, our expansive outdoor training area provides the ideal space for you to engage in a variety of physical conditioning activities and specialized training exercises. This versatile space is dedicated to essential firefighter exercises, including Auto Extrication and Emergency First Responder (EFR).

The outdoor training area is a vital component of our program, enabling you to refine your skills, enhance your endurance, and develop the physical prowess and technical expertise necessary to excel in your duties.

As you approach the culmination of your training, you are afforded the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge at the Burn Tower, located approximately an hour drive from the campus.

This exceptional facility offers a controlled environment for practising essential skills such as search and rescue, hose and hydrant operation, and fire suppression in various situations. The Burn Tower experience closely simulates real emergency fire scenarios, allowing students and instructors to appreciate the practical application of classroom-taught fundamentals. This invaluable experience bolsters the confidence of our recruits, ensuring they are well-equipped to navigate burning structures, control and suppress fires, and ultimately excel in their careers as firefighters.
